2024 SCOTTSDALE AUCTION: 1952 Chevrolet 3100 Custom Pickup – No Reserve

Recently completed, this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 series pickup is powered by a 630hp Blueprint 427ci LS engine paired with a 4L60E automatic transmission and a 9-inch Strange posi-traction rear end. The engine has a CVF pulley system, and the smoothed firewall complements the neatly hidden wiring and air-conditioning lines. Cooling the engine is a PRC aluminum radiator with a 16-inch electric fan. Ultimate stainless-steel headers lead to the 3-inch TIG-welded stainless-steel Pypes exhaust flowing through MagnaFlow mufflers. Riding on an Art Morrison chassis, this pickup features A/M IFS coilover front suspension and 4-link coilover rear suspension, hitting the ground with Nitto NT 555 tires.

Finished in Cortez Silver, the exterior is equipped with a new chrome grille, emblems, door handles and mirrors, as well as a smooth cowl, vent doors and louvers that have been removed. The bed is no ordinary bed – it is extruded aluminum with a matching vinyl wrap. This truck has a custom tailgate and, below that, a custom recessed roll pan. Connected to the custom-raised floor box sides, the taillights have been relocated from their stock location.

The Oxford Wine interior features modern amenities such as Classic Instruments gauges, a Vintage Air system, a Kenwood stereo, a tilt wheel and cruise control. In front of the Lokar shifter, the dash extension houses the air-conditioning vents and controls. This pickup is the winner of seven awards, starting with Sleds Midwest in Branson, MO; Christians Rod & Customs in Branson, MO; C10 Shindig Top 10 Crown of Kings in Kansas City, MO; Community First Credit Union as the Graffiti Night winner in Oskaloosa, IA; Goodguys Iron Builders of the Year Finalist in Lebanon, TN; Fourth of July winner in Sully, IA; and Sleds Midwest People’s Choice in Branson, MO.
